Aniceta continued a stellar start to her career with her third placing from three runs at Sale on August 13. When you head to a $35,000 Maiden for Four-Year-Olds and Upwards on a Thursday, you don’t expect to bump into a potential star, but unfortunately for Aniceta and her connections, that looked to be the case.
The rumour mill was stirring and the whispers were running wild about first-starter Barocha who lived up to the hype with a strong win. That said, Aniceta lost no admirers at all with her gallant second placing and it’s only a matter of time before she breaks her maiden. Chelsea rode her perfectly, rolling across to take up the running, crossing to find the fence upon turning and the daughter of Canford Cliffs kicked strongly to hold off 14 of her 15 rivals.
Aniceta continues to race with a perfect attitude, pattern and professionalism that suggests a win is imminent.
