The stable are happy to get both Airstream and Oneira back onto a firmer surface as the team head to Bendigo on Wednesday July 29.
Aistream, who was scratched from a wet track at Sale on Monday looks more suited on a Good 3 at Bendigo. The filly was unlucky last start when held up at a vital stage rounding the home turn before working home solidly into 5th. Allison Sheehan has no doubts the daughter of Domesday should’ve placed with more luck and is confident of another good performance on Wednesday. The in-form Daniel Stackhouse jumps on board and they should get a lovely run from barrier 4.
The last time Oneira found a good track she was a strong winner and while she rises in grade on Wednesday, an improved performance would not surprise. The four-year-old didn’t seem to appreciate the Pakenham Synthetic track back in June and the stable is confident getting her back on top of the ground at Bendigo, a track she’s placed at in both outings previously, will do the trick. Regular rider Chelsea Hall maintains the ride with the mare no doubt appreciating a weight drop from her last three runs.
Best of luck to all connections!
