Churchill Downs gelding Sergeant Hightower is giving his connections plenty of enjoyment early into his racing career having now won two of his three career starts and is undefeated this campaign.

Having debuted in June 2013 as a 2YO with an uninspiring effort – Sergeant Hightower opened his account on New Years Day with a four length win at Mornignton as a sign of big things to come. The horse led all the way and was never challenged under a good ride from Jade Darose.

Three weeks later and Sergeant Hightower has leveled up to his next challenge winning consecutive races with a tough performance in the $30,000 JB Scott Showcase 3YO BM64 Handicap (1200m). Implying similar tactics with a front-running ride from Jade Darose – the horse had to dig in for the fight and held off the challenge of King’s Spirit.

It is very promising what Sergeant Hightower is delivering in the early stages of his career and we look forward to further enjoying his career with his syndicate of owners.
